I was very well informed as they diagnosed. Steve did a thorough job explaining each issue to help me decide which items were "must-fix" items. Bud's goal is definitely NOT to maximize the earnings from each job, but to provide the right services. Phone calls are quickly answered. Steve knows cars and the business very well. He is consistently a pleasure to speak to. He takes pride in the master mechanics that have found a career with him. Ultimately it is the guy doing the work that makes or breaks shops like Bud's, so his pride really resonated with me. In the end, the job was done well for a decent price. I went all the way up to Marysville hoping to find just such a shop. Bud's is the bomb. I subtracted one star because the duration of the job went a fair bit longer than estimated.
