Owners
Steve started as a commercial fisherman in Puget sound fishing and working on boats and then moved to the Bering sea doing the same. During the off season he was a diesel tech working fleet mechanic who worked on cars, big trucks and excavators even. In 1996 he and his partner opened Bud's and aimed to be the best Transmission shop in town. He started as a tech and co-owner and eventually worked his way out of the shop and into the office full-time in 1998. Brenda and Steve were married in 2004 and they enjoy fishing, hunting and camping with friends in their free time. Brenda joined the Bud's team in 2012 when they took full ownership.

Lead Technician
Bryan started at Bud’s in August of 2018.  He has previously worked 8 years as a fleet diesel mechanic and drove a semi-truck for 3 years as well.  Bryan is our diesel specialist.  He also specializes in Ford 6-liters, Jeeps Wrangler and Cherokees, as well as motorcycles. He likes to spend time with his wife and their two young kids.  They like spending time outdoors skiing, off-roading, riding dirt bikes, and hiking with their three dogs.  They like to include their rescue dogs when they can.  Bryan likes to build and work on computers, play video games, and work on his own cars in his free time as well.

 

Jesse | Bud's Auto Repair & TransmissionJesse

Technician
Jesse has been with Bud’s since 2021. He has been a technician 18 years.  He loves working on cars and especially enjoys doing timing chains/belts, tune ups, brakes, and injection/induction services. In Jesse’s off time, he enjoys learning about Washington geology and traveling across Washington and enjoying its beauty. He is also learning a lot of new skills as a new homeowner from roofing repair to flooring and everything in between.

Steven has been working at Bud’s for 2 years. He has been in the auto industry for over 25 years. He has done a little bit of everything from managing a small shop to working with customers from start to finish to get them back on the road safely. Steven believes there is always something new to learn and always an opportunity for those who are willing. Steven has been happily married to his wife, Sandra, for over 25 years. They have three amazing boys and are always busy doing something with them. If it is not soccer, it's cross country, wrestling, or some other sport/function. Steven loves his family as they are the most important thing in his life.

 

Nathan | Bud's Auto Repair & TransmissionNathan

Service Advisor
Nathan is the voice of Bud’s when customers come in or call. He enjoys going above and beyond to assist customers and get their vehicle repairs done efficiently and effectively. Nathan graduated from UTI and has been working in the auto industry for 15 years. When Nathan is not at work, he enjoys spending time with his two beautiful daughters, reading, and playing sports.

 

Kerry | Bud's Auto Repair & TransmissionKerry

Office Manager/Bookkeeper
Kerry joined Bud’s team in 2023.  Kerry has over 13 years experience including a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from CLU. She is very detail oriented and takes pride in keeping the accounting system accurate. Since Bud's is a small business, Kerry wears many hats and enjoys filling in where ever needed. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and teenage son. Traveling, floating the river, and property improvements are common pastimes. Her passion is riding her APHA mare and going swimming on horseback.

 

Mavis | Bud's Auto Repair & TransmissionMavis

Customer Greeter in Training
Mavis graciously accepted her position in July 2024. She loves to help out with the recycling and greeting clients. Mavis is a Belgium Malinos puppy that belongs to our tech Bryan. She enjoys laying in the sun, playing ball, and car rides. Mavis is still in training but if you are lucky, you will catch her on duty. Feel free to say hi to her if you see her!
