Car of the week blog: Week 2: 5/21/15 Bud’s is here to report in for week 2 of Car of the Week! It is funny how things happen but… his week our featured vehicle is another 2005 Subaru Legacy. The customer came in because of a “knocking sound”. They could tell that there was something wrong with the car but didn’t know what. They may have searched “why is my car knocking” or “what is that knocking sound” on Google before scheduling an appointment, maybe not. Either way, they knew that our techs have the knowledge and tools to figure out the issue. This Subaru Legacy came in for diagnosis because of the noise it was making. Subaru of America reported that over all Subaru sales increased by 24% from January 2014 to January 2015 with it being the 38th consecutive month of month-over-month growth. This is awesome news for teams like ours who consider ourselves Subaru specialists! With the report of seven million Subaru’s sold in the US we are excited to be able to offer maintenance and repairs to one of the fastest growing vehicle makes. Americans buy Subaru’s for the rugged abilities and for the fact that if you keep up on your maintenance, a Subaru will keep you on the road safely for a very long time! Winter Brakes: As families head out to either; dodge family for the holidays or to gather with them, Bud’s wants your family to be safe in your vehicle. Most of the time we wait to feel a jerking or noise before having our brakes checked right? Well think about this, sitting in traffic with the heat blasting and the car stopping and going, stopping and going for hours in the joyful holiday traffic with the kids in the back fighting and the radio going in and out due to the weather and all of a sudden you press the brakes and your vehicle continues to roll into the car in front of you. Bud’s is happy to announce that we are partnering with the US Marine Corps Reserve and Toys-For-Tots this year. It is our first time working together with this program here at the shop even though most of our team donates personally. We are super excited to be a donation location and be able to make a difference in the lives of some local children. Toys For Tots is a national campaign started in 1947. Since then it has grown to be a national campaign with a call to action from the US Marine Corps. They are asking the people of our country to come together and think about how receiving a new toy at Christmas will make a child whose family has fallen on hard times feel. Receiving a shiny new toy for Christmas verses nothing at all as you watch the children around you play with their new things can be a devastating blow. We all love fairs right!? Well, at Bud’s we do. We also love supporting positive youth! Dakota, who is a family member of one of our suppliers, presented us with the opportunity to help him out as well as reminding us not to miss out on the 2014 fair fun. He is in his fourth year in a 4-H club called “Critters & Company” and will be showing his market pig Patsy at the Lynden Fair that’s coming up in the next couple weeks. He’s raised Patsy since birth this January and has learned so much about business in the process. While learning about expenses he is seeing how all of the necessities add up. We sent off a donation for Dakota today in hopes that it can help him out in his 2014 fair experience and possibly be an overage that he is able to use towards his next year market project or even his college fund.
